Guide Team

Each of Nahanni Wild's guides is a trained wilderness professional and we support and celebrate their adventures, passions and achievements.  All are accredited in Wilderness First Aid and Swift Water Rescue as well as being  Moving Water Canoe Instructors, British Columbia Rafting Outfitter's Association Guides and Wilderness Interpreters.

Each spring we bring our team together for our Guide Training School, an intensive week where we delve into the details that make our adventures  exceptional. Joined by industry leaders in first aid, rescue and paddling skills we work through challenging real world scenarios, develop our skills and create a bond between our guides that is required to successfully be a wilderness leader. Coming from all walks of life and chosen for their skills and passion for wilderness experiences we know the friendships that you develop on the river might just be the best souvenir.

Interdependent people combine their own efforts, with the efforts of others to achieve their greatest success”

Your talented team of guides are passionate about creating exceptional wilderness experiences. Their talents include preparing exceptional meals in our "river galley," and you will be amazed by the home cooked delicacies. Enjoy contemporary, healthy cuisine that is sure to satisfy. Fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie and fresh baked breads are daily fare ensuring the energy for your adventures and that the call to "dinner" is always a highlight.

Our river galley is a welcoming place and our guides are happy to share wilderness cooking tips, provide instruction on the finer points of dutch oven cooking and share recipes. As our Eastern friends know, every good party takes place in the kitchen.

Dietary concerns are taken seriously and accommodated with flair. Please ensure you share your concerns with Guest Services at your time of booking to ensure we can accommodate your needs and exceed your expectations.
