Quality, adventure & respect.

These values are the core of everything we do. From this foundation two generations of adventure leaders welcome you to experience the finest wilderness areas in Canada.

As a family business Nahanni Wild celebrates a life lived outdoors by guiding and outfitting canoeing, rafting, hiking and mountaineering expeditions. Each trip we lead is about connecting our guests to the outdoors and to each other. Every decision we make is done to enhance this connection.

With so many ways to experience these wild places we know there is an adventure that is right for you. Whether you crave the excitement and challenge of canoeing or would like the comfortable and social experience of a raft our guest services team looks forward to helping you each step of the way.

In an ever busier world the true wilderness experience can still be found. Nahanni Wild’s philosophy, professional guide team and exceptional cuisine set the stage for the trip of a lifetime.

We are fortunate to experience the incredible beauty and power of the natural world. We hope that all who travel with us leave with a deeper appreciation for these places and how fragile they are.

Having worked closely with CPAWS NWT and Nahanni National Park Reserve during its expansion to protect the South Nahanni watershed we are proud of what has been saved for perpetuity. We know the wilderness capstone running on the border between Yukon and NWT presents us with a special opportunity to preserve an entire mountain ecosystem. With undeveloped watersheds and an impressive catalogue of both large mammals and unique species we support increased study, protection and celebration of this region.

After careful consideration Nahanni Wild has chosen to join the 1% for the Planet family and will be donating 1% of all our 2018 sales to CPAWS NWT in support of their important work.

Unparalleled River Cuisine

Sharing an amazing meal always makes memories, even more so in the wilderness. We are proud of our ability to prepare exceptional dishes in our “river galleys.” Dine riverside on our from scratch, contemporary cuisine full of fruit, vegetables, cheese, charcuterie and fresh baked breads. Our daily fare ensures the energy for your adventure.

Our river galley is a welcoming place where you will find delicious food, fine coffee, a cocktail or two and great company. Your guides are happy to accommodate your dietary preferences, provide instruction on the finer points of dutch oven cooking and share recipes. As our Eastern Canadian friends know well, every good party takes place in the kitchen and we look forward to sharing ours with you.
