Our "Island Hopping" Sea Kayak Adventure is designed to be a relaxing holiday with just the right amount of beach/camp time and
paddling to kindle your spirit of adventure. The Baja peninsula is a 1500k long mountainous desert extending south of the US
border. Within the sheltered waters of the Sea of Cortez lie numerous islands ideally situated for exploration by sea kayak. Baja is
a fascinating place where the sea and the desert intertwine, and life of all sorts, abounds. Imagine being surrounded by schools of
colourful tropical fish while snorkeling, or watching pods of dolphins playing close at hand. Most entertaining of all are the fish eating
birds such as brown pelicans, boobies and ospreys. Ashore, the Sonoron desert supports a wide variety of cacti, shrubs and other
plants, uniquely adapted to the harsh environment. Paddling distances are kept short to ensure plenty of time to appreciate the
beauty of it all. Leisurely afternoons can be spent snorkeling, walking the beach, soaking up the warm sunshine or photographing
the rugged mountain vistas.
