The Hibbards

David HibbardDavid Hibbard is the most active outfitter on the Nahanni River, personally guiding over 70 descents. After graduating from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a BA in Geography, the lure of the mountains drew David and his family to Alberta where he has resided since 1984. When not expounding the wonders of the Nahanni River to people around the globe, Dave loves back-country skiing in the Rockies, and sailing in the Caribbean. Beautiful Canmore, AB has been his home, and the site of the Nahanni Wilderness Adventures office since 2002.

Wendy HibbardWendy Hibbard manages the Nahanni office in the summer when Dave is in the North. Wendy also graduated from Queen's and recently retired from teaching secondary school in Canmore. Her favourite activities are keeping up with her 3 wonderful children, and following David to incredible remote wilderness places.

In addition to guiding:

Joel Hibbard looks after marketing and communications.

Dana Hibbard deals with Guest Services in the winter months.

Luke Hibbard staffs the Nahanni Wild booth at the Outdoor Adventure travel shows.
