 GOING AGAINST THE FLOW
On September 1, 2008 Nahanni River outfitter and guide David Hibbard will follow his passion in support of expanding the Nahanni National Park boundary and the conservation of the Nahanni watershed. Following his last trip of the season David will load his canoe with a month of provisions, his paddle and pole to begin a month long 250k upriver attempt at ascending the South Nahanni River to Virginia Falls.  CHOOSING YOUR OUTFITTER
In June 2007 the Nahanni River's first river outfitting company moved their outfitting base from Fort Simpson to Lindberg Landing. The move cut our trip participants fuel consumption in half. The information we have collected from the operations managers of the available commercial airlines tells us that our Nahanni River trip participant's consumption is now below 150 liters per person down from 300 liters. In addition for people flying North through Edmonton the single flight to Fort Nelson and our shuttle to Lindberg Landing will save you over $500 compared to the two flights it takes to travel via Yellowknife to Fort Simpson...
